Fighting Food Insecurity in Montreal

Food insecurity affects 1 in 4 households in Montreal. Within the city’s Muslim community of 145,000, access to culturally appropriate food aid is limited — especially for families and individuals unable to leave their homes.

MMC’s Local Response
For over 15 years, Maison Masjid Canada (MMC) has been serving Montreal. Today, we are launching a food bank to address these growing needs — not only by providing food but also by creating sustainable solutions to break the cycle of hunger.
